katherine+bridals=grandma's been slapped!!!

Now let me start out by saying... I don't condone going around and slapp'n grandma's but this shoot kinda makes it ok!! ;) Now, on to business.. this is Katherine, and she is rock'n out this bridal sesh like no other. I get the distinct honor to be able to shoot her wedding on 5.9.09 and let's just say that's going to be one to remember ;) We met up over at the Corkscrew wine bar on Washington and had a drink then got rock'n.. Her mom came along and she was great!! I'm thinking about hiring her to coach my brides on their poses ;)

well this is what we came up with.. leave some love and let me know what you think...

all right.. take it easy on the grandma's...

OMG... Vi's bridals just warped my mind...

Now when I say "warped" I'm mean that in such a great way... I got to hang out with Vi and her two sisters a couple of weeks ago at the Paraiso Maraville and rock out her bridals... I think Vi has to be one of the easiest people to work with... I am completely stoked about Mike and Vi's wedding coming up in April.. its going to be a party... don't be jealous, maybe they'll invite you??

lisa+bridals=brain freeze...

Oh these are some of my favorite bridals... Lisa came with her "A" game... I'm telling you she was simply amazing to work with and I think we all had a great time making some kick arse images... we met up at the St. Regis hotel were they will be getting married this Saturday the 27th. We all sat around and had a glass of wine while we talked about life changing moments... Ok, the last line was a little to much but we did enjoy some wine before we got started.. To all the photogs out there, this is the key to getting your clients to relax... meet up for a drink before the shoot begins, it will make all the difference in the world...

Hey Lisa: again, I know that I said this at the shoot, but you were pure awesome!!! period. I can't wait for Saturday, Chris, you and I are going to rock out some amazing shots... get ready:)

Ok, brace yourself for your custom "Brain Freeze"...

I hope your not hurting to bad... just try to relax it will all be over soon :) but while your waiting for your brain to stop hurting, leave a little blog lov'n ;) I love those comments!!!

jennifer+bridal=my o my...

wow, I am so excited to get this post up...when we met up for this rock'n bridal I knew right away that we were going to have a blast.. Jennifer was so easy to work with and very easy to pick on :) we went to rice hotel and had a drink, well jennifer had 2 :) and then we got started.. one of my favorite coordinators (Jamie) allowed us to pretty much take over the crystal ballroom... Thanks Jamie! we got some really fun shots, then headed outside for some more action. all I have to say is "my o my" it was a blast to work with Jennifer... Jennifer and Jon are getting married this weekend and it promises to be a party!

Jennifer: you rock'd it girl!!! I can't wait for this weekend, you guys are going to have a blast... never stop laughing!!! see ya soon :)

Dude — I love the way you do bridal shoots! You and a very few others are pushing Houston brides out of the traditional mess and into some rocktastic bridal images! Thanks for being bold and for putting your art into every shoot! I hope someday the stoic, standing-holding-flowers-while-looking-directly-at-the-camera-in-a-park bridal portraits will be a thing of the past, and more folks will want/expect this brand of high-fashion bridal imagery. first of all, there is something to be said about people. now, I am very far from perfect, as most of my friends and family know, but people as we all know come in varying shapes and sizes, different attitudes, different approaches to life, and different ways we treat other people... some are jerks, some just keep to themselves, some are only after selfish ambition, and some are so cool it's crazy. now I say all of this to say, that kristin and her future hubby nick, are some of the coolest people that I have met.. seriously! this post is really going to show-case the amazing beauty and pure awesomeness of Kristin with the bridal sesh we did at the hotel icon, but I just shot their engagement pics last night (which will be coming soon), and I had one of those days that I could have done without... but, as we meet up last night to do the shoot, I felt like I could just talk to them about some of the things that happened yesterday, and this is where their awesomeness really shined! first of all, they listened (let me just say that this is probably one of the most important things in life. listening) secondly, they encouraged, and lastly they showed the love!

To Kristin and Nick: thanks!!! thanks for listening, thanks for encouraging, and thanks for sharing some love. you really have no Idea how much that meant to me, sorry for being so sappy:) you guys rock!!!
